This is a 3 day event from Wednesday the 1st of November to Friday the 3rd of November 2023. Whilst we appreciate people have other responsibilities, we would encourage you to attend as much of this as possible.

We are holding a Rural and Islands Youth Parliament, a dedicated event for rural and island young people. This will be a parallel event to the main proceedings on Wednesday 1^st November from 2pm to 6.30pm. Are you aged between 16 – 30 and interested in attending?

We have two sets of thematic sessions planned for Day 1 (Wednesday, November 1st). These sessions vary in format; some are hybrid, some are in-person only, and a few will be repeated online after November 3rd, depending on interest. On the morning of Day 3 (Friday, November 3rd), all delegates, whether participating online or in-person, will have the opportunity to engage in the concluding hybrid session. This session will feature a panel discussion followed by a collaborative workshop on how Scotland should formulate a Rural Delivery Plan. The Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament is a free event but we understand that some delegates may face barriers to attending with travel and accommodation considerations. We have some bursaries available on an application basis.

Lunch is provided during the days (1st, 2nd, 3rd November) with an evening gala meal on Thursday the 2nd of November. Unless you are a youth delegate, an evening meal is not provided for Wednesday the 1st of November to allow you free time to try the local cuisine!
